The Art of "Playing" Sports

Let me tell you a little something about getting into the sports world. A lot like the fashion world its all about who you know. People think that fashion and sports are so different and trust me on the surface they are but dig a little deeper and the similarities are unreal. Anyways I am getting off topic back to who you know.

Especially when it comes to playoff season in professional sports you have to have connections. Tickets are a hot item and unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for decent ticket you need to have an in with some people. You have to play the game. Corny I know. It really isn't as hard as you would think.

Check out some of my tips for "playing" the game:

1. Talk. Literally have conversations all the time with everyone

2. Even if you think the person you are talking to doesn't seem important don't brush them off everybody knows somebody

3. Keep it casual and friendly

4. Don't ask for any favors until you have established a good relationship

Remember this the next time you are at a sporting event. Strike up a conversation with the security guard you never know who they have connections with.
