Andy North and Friends

In collaboration with the UW Carborne Cancer Center every year Andy North hosts a charity golf event to raise money for the the cancer center.

Who is Andy North?

Andy North is a native of Wisconsinite turned pro golfer. Who won two US Open tournaments. In 1991, Andy was diagnosed with skin cancer. Andy had basal cell carcinoma, the most common type of skin cancer. Five operations later the cancer had been cut out, and the doctor had removed most of his left nostril and left a hole on his face the size of a quarter. He considers himself one of the lucky ones. 

Why Andy North and Friends is Important to me?

Last June I was able to attend the Andy North and Friends charity golf outing. Not only was there a golf event but there was a live auction the night before. I rubbed elbows with all sorts of people from Aaron Rodgers to Andy North himself. However, that wasn't event the best part of the night. The best part was seeing everyone come together to help support a great cause. It was so fun to be a part of a fundraising effort that I didn't even know existed the week before.
